Oxted Band is pleased to announce the return of Paul Duffy as guest soloist for our Autumn Concert which will be held in St John's Church Hurst Green at 7.30pm on Saturday 18th October.

Versatility is a word closely associated with Paul Duffy. As a musician he is capable of doing many things competently. Born in Liverpool, Paul began his musical interest at the age of 7, playing the cornet with St Helens Youth Brass Band conducted by Lynda Nicholson. Lynda is a former Principal Cornet player of the Oxted Band and was our first 'Stars of Brass' soloist back in 1992.

Paul is in high demand, fully engaged as a soloist and as a producer of music. His eagerly awaited debut album, 'Only Just Begun' released in 2014, is an impressive showcase for Paul as a musician, composer, arranger, producer and a recording engineer. He is currently undertaking a number of concerts, since leaving the Black Dyke band, and we are fortunate to have him for one of only a few UK appearances this year.

As well as accompanying Paul, the Oxted Band will also be contributing music old and new, popular and
classical, and some brass band favourites.

Tickets are available from White's Estate Agent in Oxted, advance sales on 07971 402608 or on the door, priced at £10 (£5 child).
