The Oxted Band raised over £500 for the Help for Heroes Charity at its concert in Bletchingley Village Hall.  The varied programme included marches and patriotic music which brought the audience to its feet in appreciation.  Special gues Mr Martin Bourke, representing H4H, said a few words about the work of the charity in supporting soldiers and their families who are casualties of war around the world.  To close the concert, three standard bearers from the Royal British Legion processed through the audience and lowered their flags to the sound of the Last Post.

The Oxted Band's next Concert is on May 14 at St John's Church, Hurst Green, when they are welcoming special guests the Tertnes Amatorkorps.
